Annual Report
The Annual Report demonstrates how the Police Authority and Constabulary have carried out their duties as set out in the Policing Plan.

Audit reports
A plan of internal and external audit is in place that covers both the Police Authority and the Constabulary. Internal audits are reported to the Finance Committee. Further information about external audits can be found at the Audit Commission’s website, www.audit-commission.gov.uk. Annual audits are also published here on the Police Authority’s website.

Business Plan
The Business Plan describes what Hampshire Police Authority aims to achieve over the next three years and sets out Objectives and Targets for each area.

Code of Conduct
The code of conduct sets out the standards by which members of the Police Authority are expected to abide and explains how a complaint may be made against a member under the code.

Code of Corporate Governance
This code outlines the core principles of good governance, which the Police Authority has signed up to.

Communications Strategy
Hampshire Police Authority’s Communications Strategy provides a framework for the Authority when communicating with internal and external audiences.

Complaints Procedures
These procedures relates to complaints against members of the Authority, staff who work on behalf of the Authority, chief officers, and officers and staff of Hampshire Constabulary.

Contract Standing OrdersThese rules set out the minimum requirements and procedures appropriate for the acquisition and disposal of all goods, services and works undertaken on behalf of Hampshire Police Authority, in whose name all contracts entered into by Hampshire Constabulary are let.

Crime Prevention Committee Annual Review
A review of the grants made by the Crime Prevention Committee is produced annually. It is published as soon as possible following the end of the financial year, usually in June. It shows how the funding available to the Committee has been distributed.

Equality Impact Assessments
An Equality Impact Assessment (EIA) is a way for the Authority to consider the likely impact on individuals and groups of their policies, procedures, strategies and plans. The aim is to improve the way it approves publications by making sure it does not discriminate and that, where possible, it does all it can to promote equality and good relations between different groups.

Equalities Scheme
Hampshire Police Authority has in place an equalities scheme that combines race, gender and disability to ensure that every person and every employee who receives or is affected by the Authority’s activities and services should perceive their experience to be fair and equitable. This scheme set out how the Police Authority ensures that remains the case.

Freedom of Information Act
Under the Act, the Police Authority has a responsibility to be open with the information that it holds. The publications scheme demonstrates the Police Authority’s commitment to the Act.

Independent Custody Visiting (ICV) Scheme Annual Review
Hampshire Police Authority runs an Independent Custody Visiting scheme, designed to ensure those in custody are treated fairly. Read the annual reports of the scheme on this page.

Local Policing Summary
The local policing summary is produced annually. It demonstrates, in summary, how the police are performing. It is sent to all households via the local authority publications Hampshire Now, City View (Southampton), Flagship (Portsmouth) and One Island (Isle of Wight).

Members' Allowance Scheme
An annual allowance is paid to each member of the Police Authority, with special responsibility allowances paid to the Chair, Vice-Chair and Committee Chairs only. This page provides details of the scheme, and the allowances claimed by members.

Policing Plan
This plan is produced annually and it sets out how Hampshire Police Authority and Hampshire Constabulary intend to carry out their duties to police the two counties in the forthcoming year. The plan is drafted by the Chief Constable, in discussion with the Police Authority. Its content is approved by a meeting of the full Police Authority in February each year. It is published by the Police Authority at the end of March each year, in time for the financial year to start, and is updated in June to reflect any necessary changes since the end of the last financial year.

Precept Notice
The precept notice is produced annually in February and distributed to all council tax paying households via the local authorities with the council tax bill. It demonstrates how the police are funded and what contribution is made by the police precept in the council tax.

Risk Management Policy and Strategy
This sets out the Risk Management Policy of Hampshire Police Authority. It refers to the management of risk within the Police Authority office and its immediate operating environment and the way in which the Police Authority will monitor the management of risk in the Constabulary

Stakeholder Newsletter
The Authority publishes a quarterly newsletter written specifically for our partners in Crime and Disorder Reducation Partnership, local authorities and other interested agencies, as well as key individuals such as local Members of Parliament.

Standing Orders
Standing Orders are an important part of the governance framework of the Authority, and sets out how Authority Members and officers carry out their business in committee meetings.

Statement of Accounts
A statement of accounts is published annually in June and states the financial position of the Police Authority and Constabulary.
