Hampshire Police Authority

Collaboration

To meet the demands of this difficult economic climate we have to provide a more efficient and effective police service for the future.  Both Hampshire Police Authority and Hampshire Constabulary have been working for sometime to see how policing can adapt to the reduction in budget by making the most of our resources and providing best value for money for the tax payer.

Collaboration with other forces is one way that we are saving money and improving service. At the beginning of 2011 we signed a legal agreement with Thames Valley to create a joint Information Communication Technology department.  This builds on successful collaboration projects within the south east region, providing real opportunities to enhance and improve the services delivered to the public.

The foreword to the agreement was signed by Councillor Jacqui Rayment, Chair of Hampshire Police Authority and Khan Juna, Chairman of Thames Valley Police Authority.
