Chief Officers appointed by Hampshire Police Authority are employees of Hampshire Constabulary. Any appointments made will be under Regulation 13A(2) of the Police Regulations 1995, the Police Act 1996 and the Police Pensions Regulations 1987 as amended.

Members of staff of Hampshire Police Authority are employed by Hampshire County Council under the terms and conditions of service known as Employment in Hampshire County Council (EHCC), which has been negotiated locally following a national single agreeement.
