Biography
Councillor Rayment joined the HPA in Autumn 1998 as a Councillor representative of Southampton City Council. During her time on the Authority, she has been the vice-chair of the Crime Prevention Committee, chaired the Performance Committee and was vice-chair of the Authority before being elected Chair in June 2007.
During her time on the Authority, she has led the organisation through the debate around Strategic Forces and the Forward Together programme. She has also represented the Authority as part of an exchange scheme with emergency services in Romania. She is the Chair of the South East Regional Collaboration Oversight Board.
Away from the Police Authority, Cllr Rayment is the deputy leader of the Labour Group on Southampton City Council and councillor for the Bevois ward. Jacqui is married with 3 grown up children.
