Ambassadors Visit Trinity, Winchester
Last month the Hampshire Ambassadors made a visit to the new centre for Trinity in Winchester, a charity providing services for those experiencing the effects of homelessness, a significant group of marginalised people amidst the general relative affluence of Winchester.

Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th October - Hampshire
Harvest Weekend - 10am—5pm, Winchester Cathedral
A FREE family event celebrating Hampshire’s food and farming. Children’s activities, farming displays, and a Hampshire Farmers Market showcasing the County’s food & drink.
The event culminates with a special Harvest Festival Service in the Cathedral on Sunday at 3.30pm.

The ‘VIP Preview Evening’ forms part of the Hampshire’s OctoberFest festival taking place on the 17-18 October 2009 at Milestones Museum.

Basingstoke and North Hampshire - Inspire Business Awards
Leading companies and entrepreneurs from Basingstoke and North Hampshire are set to be recognised during the INSPIRE 09 Business Awards.
The awards are open to companies and entrepreneurs from across North Hampshire and will ensure leading organisations and individuals gain the recognition they deserve.
Nomination for awards is easy, simply complete the online form at www.inspirebusinessawards.co.uk.
The closing date for nominations is 5pm Friday 6 October. Finalists will be announced the week commencing 12 October and will receive a complimentary place at the Inspire Business Awards Dinner taking place on on the evening of Tuesday 17 November 2009, plus pre and post event publicity.
New Forest Brilliance in Business Awards
Businesses in the New Forest have the opportunity to be recognised for their outstanding achievement in the fourth annual Brilliance in Business Awards organised by New Forest Business Partnership.
The awards were officially launched on the 10th September in the grounds of Appletree Court during NFBP’s autumn networking event.
This year, awards will be made in 6 categories recognising high levels of achievement within the core business of entrants. The individual categories will focus on specialist areas including investment in the workforce, enterprise and innovation, entrepreneurship, development of online technologies and green policies. One business selected from the winners of the individual categories will be named NFBP Business of the Year.
All entries should be made via the NFBP website at www.nfbp.org.uk where further details including terms and conditions and judging criteria can be found.
Entries will be accepted until 30th October and awards presented at the Carey’s Manor Hotel on 24th November.
Winchester Business Excellence Awards
The Winchester Business Excellence Awards are open for applications until Friday 16th October 2009.
The competition, which is open to businesses in the Winchester district with less than 200 employees aims to drive up local competitiveness and reward business excellence wherever it is found. There are eight categories within the competition and each winner will receive a media package worth more than £1500, a specially commissioned Business Excellence Awards trophy, framed certificate and valuable publicity within the local media.

Test Valley Business Awards
The Test Valley Business Awards will be launched by television presenter and wildlife expert Chris Packham on 21 October 2009. Now in its sixth year promoting the success of Test Valley businesses, the Test Valley Business Awards has given hundreds of companies the chance to showcase themselves and what they do, and be recognised for their achievements.
